Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating an account or paying for a reading, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What the Service is

Raw Trait generates a written personality reading using a BaZi (Four Pillars) framework. It is not fortune-telling, divination, or prediction of specific future events. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. Treat the reading as a thinking tool and a starting point for reflection — nothing more, nothing less.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to create an account or buy a reading. By using the Service you confirm that you are. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.

Your account

Sign-in is by email and password, handled through our authentication provider. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised. We may suspend an account that is being misused or that violates these Terms.

Payment and pricing

A reading costs US$29. Each payment unlocks one chart. The price shown at checkout is what you pay. Payment is processed by our merchant of record, which collects any applicable VAT or sales tax on top of the price.

Invite codes

Invite codes unlock a single chart at the paywall. They are one-time, not transferable, and have no cash value. We may void codes that are being abused or that have been shared in violation of their intended use. Invite codes are not a discount on a paid order — they are a separate path to unlocking a chart, free of charge.

Your reading

The reading we generate is for your personal, non-commercial use. You may keep it, save it, share screenshots, and quote it to friends. We retain the right to use anonymized and aggregated data — for instance, the statistical distribution of day-masters across all users — to improve the product. We will not publish anything that could identify you without your express permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, resell, or republish the Service in bulk.
• Submit knowingly false birth data through automated means, or create accounts at scale to abuse free or invite-coded readings.
• Attempt to disrupt the Service, gain unauthorized access to other users’ charts, or interfere with the underlying infrastructure.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm other people — for example by generating a reading on someone without their consent and using it against them.

Accounts that violate these rules may be suspended or terminated, and refunds in those cases may be denied.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that the reading will be accurate, useful, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. BaZi is an interpretive framework with thousands of years of literature behind it, but it is not science. The judgment of how to use what you read remains yours.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, or expected benefit.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify us against any third-party claim that arises from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms, including reasonable legal fees.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to other users or to the Service. Refunds, if any, are governed by the Refund Policy.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will email registered users at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the change. The current version is always at this URL with the “Last updated” date at the top.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, that cannot be resolved through good-faith correspondence shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules in force when the notice of arbitration is submitted. The seat of arbitration is Hong Kong. The number of arbitrators is one. The language of the arbitration is English. The decision of the arbitrator is final and binding on both parties. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking interim or injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
